If you were expecting that corporate talk of "mission, vision, and values," this is not the place. Raja Pura is something much more personal.

Welcome to Raja Pura

We are a shop of ethnic clothing and accessories.

With a physical presence in Portugal, in the Algarve, in Lagos and in Silves.

Created for those who value unique pieces, identity, and cultural diversity.

🔱How it began

Raja Pura was born in 2010, following a journey to India that deeply marked my personal and creative path. That year I spent 6 months in this country and made the first contacts with the families and small workshops with whom we still work today!

🔱 Our pieces

They are made from recycled saris, carefully reused, so each creation is unique - no two pieces are the same (they may come from the same Sari but will never be identical) - making each item truly special!
We also produce items from natural fabrics such as cotton and flax.
We use old traditional Indian fabrics, hand-embroidered, to make new pieces.
We use fabrics left over by other major brands, reusing the remnants left behind.

🔱 The Processes

We use ancient techniques, such as block printing, in which hand-carved wooden blocks are used to print our pieces. It is a slow process that requires focus and love.

🔱 What sets us apart

A cancer diagnosis changed everything! When we face the end of life, we lose patience for what is empty, ordinary, or disposable.

I intend to make available to you fashion that endures over time, that is not disposable, and to bring you the possibility of acquiring a unique and singular piece, just as each of us is!

Raja Pura did not gain strength in a business plan.

She gained strength at a time of great frailty in my life: a cancer diagnosis with which I still struggle today. It was in the sheer force I found in my healing process that everything took on a greater meaning.

During that phase, I learned that each moment is unique and that we must live our lives with purpose and sincerity.

Wear your strength!

After winning my battle, I realized that our home and our clothing are an extension of our soul. Raja Pura has grown, gained strength, and today my goal is one: that every piece you take from here serves as a talisman of confidence in your individuality.

Production

Raja Pura products are designed in Portugal by me and are then made in India under my supervision.

What does this mean?

That I travel to India every year to oversee the entire production process. I work in family-run workshops with trusted people where labour rights are respected, offering fair working conditions.

We value the local workforce and therefore also work with groups of women who make certain specific items, such as: silk kimonos, silk skirts, and silk trousers.

We are a brand of SLOW FASHION

We encourage the making of durable and timeless clothing.
We take into account the environmental impact that textile making has on the world and therefore we adapt some sustainability practices:

. Our collections include recycled materials. Using the practice of upcycling, we transform old clothes worn by Indian women, the saris, into new garments or accessories.

. We make accessories from the sari scraps left over from the making of our items: colourful bags to hold your pieces when you make a purchase from us, scarves, ribbons, hair ties, and bags for our costume jewellery!

. In our clothes, only natural dyes are used, which means you need to take some extra care when washing them.

The resilience of our parts

The greatest challenge of my life brought me resilience as a guiding principle, and that is precisely what I bring to you:

The resilience of the craftspersons who make our pieces, the resilience of the ancient techniques that endure through time and that we use (such as block printing), as well as the resilience over time of our fabrics that we reuse in our items!
